Crockett to continue testimony in murder trial Monday

The trial will continue Monday for a South Bend mother accused of strangling her toddler son and putting her young daughter in a vegetative coma.

On Friday, Nyesha Crockett was on the witness stand, giving her version of what happened when her 11-month-old son Micahyah Jr. died.

Crockett said she never intended to hurt her son, even though she sent messages to the child's father threatening to hurt the boy. She claimed it was the only way she could get the child's dad to stop beating her.

Crockett will be back on the stand Monday morning.
