Community members in Elkhart are cleaning up Friday after severe winds caused damage throughout the city and resulted in widespread power outages. A judge denied a bond reduction request for the man accused of shooting and seriously injuring a LaPorte County deputy. Sharod Grafton Jr. appeared in court for a bond hearing Friday. According to online court records, he had asked the judge to reduce his bond, but the request was denied.
