Kool Kids Foundation fundraiser in Elkhart to raise money to help students purchase band instruments
Robert “Kool” Bell, co-founder of Kool & The Gang, is returning to Elkhart this summer to support the Kool Kids Foundation, which raises money to help students purchase band instruments. Bell previously joined the community last summer during the Lerner Theatre’s 100th anniversary celebration. This time, organizers say the focus is on passing the love of music to the next generation through a fundraising night during Elkhart Jazz Fest.
Air Force Two conducted standard training at South Bend International Airport on Wednesday, including touch-and-go landings. Airport officials said the aircraft also landed at the airport as part of the training. Air Force Two is the plane that carries the vice president.
