SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - WNDU launched Donate to Cultivate just one week ago, and the most recent numbers prove just how generous our community is!

Our mission is to provide children who are facing food insecurity with nutritious, reliable meals. Thanks to you, we’ve already helped 1,500 kids. Our goal now is to help 2,000 kids.

It takes only $20 to feed a kid for an entire weekend and $200 to cover a kid for 10 weeks.

Through June 24, you can head to the WNDU website and Donate to Cultivate. Your donation helps kids across St. Joseph, Elkhart and Marshall counties.

How Cultivate Food Rescue works

Cultivate Food Rescue collects edible food that would otherwise go to waste. Then, that food is redistributed throughout the community.

1 in 5 children in St. Joseph County and nearly 1 in 6 children in Elkhart County face food insecurity.

Many families who face food insecurity are working families who are struggling with the rising costs of housing, groceries, transportation and childcare. Cultivate partners with 313 organizations across St. Joseph, Elkhart and Marshall counties to ensure food reaches these families.
