3-year-old dies after falling from apartment window, police say

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV/Gray News) - A toddler died after he fell from an apartment window in St. Louis early Friday, prompting a police investigation.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department was called to the Parkview Apartments complex after receiving a call for a missing 3-year-old boy at about 2:30 a.m. Friday.

Police found the child and said it appeared he had fallen from a window. The child later died, police said.

Police said the investigation remains active. They did not release the identity of the child or other details about the case.

A GoFundMe was set up by someone believed to be a family member of the child’s mother. According to the post, donations will help cover funeral costs and provide immediate assistance to the family.
