Three people shot at popular South Bend spot

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Three people are wounded after a shooting at Eddy Street Commons Saturday morning.

South Bend Police say they heard gunshots around 1 a.m. in the 1100 block of E. Angela Blvd.

When they arrived on scene, they found two victims with gunshot injuries. The third victim took themselves to the hospital following advice from a dispatch caller.

All injuries were non-life-threatening.

There were several hundred other people in the area at the time of the incident but no other injuries were reported.

Police say multiple people were detained but it is unclear how they’re involved or what led up to the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
