5 juveniles arrested in connected to shooting that killed teen, police say

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE/Gray News) – Authorities in Indiana said five teenagers have been charged in the death of a 17-year-old who was shot and killed.

Officials in Evansville said four of the juveniles were arrested Wednesday with the fifth taken into custody Thursday.

All teens have been charged with murder in the death of Josiah Madrid, who died after the shooting took place in the 1700 block of Marshall Avenue on Nov. 26.

The five suspects were also charged with attempted robbery resulting in serious injury and conspiracy to commit robbery resulting in serious injury.

None of the suspects have been named due to them being minors.

The investigation is still ongoing.
