Mother confesses to killing teenage son, who was found shot and stabbed multiple times, police say

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV/Gray News) - A mother in Missouri is accused of fatally shooting and stabbing her 16-year-old son.

Krista Roy, 47, is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Police say they received a call just before 11:00 a.m. Monday about a welfare check on a 16-year-old boy. Reporting parties had not heard from the teen for several days.

When officers arrived, they detected a foul odor inside the house. They then found the victim dead after he was shot and stabbed multiple times.

Officers say Roy allegedly confessed to killing her son.

Roy is being held on $1 million cash-only bond.
