South Bend Republican nominee for mayor Sean Haas on 16 Morning News

Sean Haas, the Republican nominee for South Bend mayor, joined Tricia Sloma on 16 Morning News Thursday, to discuss his priorities.
Haas, a U.S. Army veteran and a history teacher at LaVille High School, was uncontested in the May primary.
Haas said both he and James Mueller, the Democratic nominee for mayor, are both "green."
"I think my energy, my passion, my focus is going to be something that sets me apart," he said.
Haas said his three main focuses are fighting crime, improving infrastructure and education.
"Business owners aren't going to want to come to South Bend, especially if they have families, if the school system isn't very good, and so I want to be as helpful, and be as big of an advocate for the South Bend school system, because I think also in addressing the education system, that's also going to trickle into public safety and help that end as well," he said.
