The city of South Bend is holding a public hearing Monday on the future of the Coal Line Trail.
The multi-use trail will follow the former Norfolk Southern rail line, connecting Lincoln Way West and the East Bank Trail.
At 5 p.m. Monday, there will be an informal open house at the Near Northwest Neighboorhood Community Center at 1013 Portage Ave.
During that time, project members will be answering questions about the plans. Following that at 6 p.m., a public hearing will be held.
Right now, the project is slated to begin in 2020.
