ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Caroline Croner grew up visiting her family’s farm and surrounded by animals before she joined 4-H.

When she did join, she started with pigs and never looked back.

For Croner, the Elkhart County Fair isn’t just about competition — it’s about family.

“It’s just so much fun to hang out with family. My aunt’s the leader in pig club, so I could see her every day,” Croner said. “All my cousins are in it, so we get to hang out with them.”

Croner’s great-grandfather was the first in her family to do 4-H, making her time in Goshen part of a tradition spanning four generations.

The 2026 fair will run through Aug. 1.
