One hospitalized, one arrested after crash involving horse and buggy in Elkhart County
A vehicle hit a horse and buggy in Elkhart County.
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - One person was taken to the hospital and another was arrested, after a crash involving a horse and buggy that happened at S.R. 13 and C.R. 24, just after 2:30 p.m.
A 2019 Chevrolet Silverado was behind a horse and buggy following closely, when the Silverado hit the rear of the horse and buggy.
The 42-year-old from the horse and buggy was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for complaints of head and arm pain.
The 66-year-old driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was suspected of being impaired and was incarcerated at Elkhart County Jail for the following charges:
- Operating while Intoxicated.
- Leaving the Scene of a Collision resulting in Bodily Injury.
