South Bend kicks off launch party for IDEA week
IDEA week has multiple events lined up in both South Bend and Elkhart
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - In South Bend Monday night marked the launch party for IDEA week.
This is a week-long festival with events for entrepreneurs, students, and businesses.
It offers practical tools, fresh ideas, and chances to connect.
The director of entrepreneurship and industry innovation for South Bend and Elkhart, Marty Mechtenberg, talked about the festival’s mission.
“Part of it is culture building for the region, like you can start a business here, you can grow a business here, you can scale a business here. This is a smaller region, but it’s a good place to start something. You’ve got a supportive community, you got people who care about what you’re doing and want to hear about your next big thing and there are people ready to invest, mentor and partner. We think that’s a great asset we have in the region,” said Mechtenberg.
