Life Treatment Centers in South Bend unveils new mural

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - There’s a new symbol of hope in South Bend.

Life Treatment Centers unveiled an inspiring new mural outside its facility.

Life Treatment Centers is a nonprofit treatment facility that helps people battling substance use disorders.

Local artist Alex Ann Allen painted the bold mural. It’s designed to embody the spirit of recovery.

“The main goal is to make them feel hope and encouragement to get through this journey and the battles that they face through addiction, so trying to be that light when they walk in the doors,” Allen said.

The organization works to guide people from the hardship of substance abuse to long term healing. They say the mural will serve as a reminder that beauty can emerge from hardship.
