SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Notre Dame women’s basketball team has released its 2025-26 schedule, and it includes several marquee matchups.

The Fighting Irish will tip off their season on Nov. 5 at home against Fairleigh Dickinson. Prior to the season opener, the Irish will host Purdue Northwest in a preseason exhibition on Oct. 30.

The Irish will then host Chicago State (Nov. 9) and Akron (Nov. 12) before welcoming USC on Nov. 21 for a marquee matchup, although it’s not as hyped of a matchup as previously expected as Trojans star JuJu Watkins is out for the season after tearing her ACL at the end of last season.

Notre Dame will then host Central Michigan on Nov. 24 in its final game before Thanksgiving and won’t play again until the 2025 ACC/SEC Challenge on Dec. 4 at Ole Miss.

Skipping ahead to mid-January, the Irish will head to Storrs for a non-conference showdown with rival UConn.

Notre Dame’s ACC schedule features 18 games, including two against Louisville (home and away).

Last year, Notre Dame went 28-6 and won a share of the regular season ACC title en route to its fourth consecutive Sweet 16 berth. However, the roster looks a lot different this year after the Irish lost several key players to the WNBA and the transfer portal.
