South Bend Cubs introduce new mascot Ivy the Bear

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Stu D. Baker will be joined by a new pal at Four Winds Field!

The South Bend Cubs introduced their newest mascot, Ivy the Bear, at their final home game of the season on Sunday night.

Ivy will honor the legacy of the South Bend Blue Sox, who played for the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League from 1943-1954.

Her introduction comes one week after legendary South Bend baseball mascot Swoop the Silver Hawk celebrated his retirement.

We don’t know much else about the new mascot, as she doesn’t have a bio on the team’s website just yet. However, you can follow Ivy on X.
