President Trump travels to Cincinnati
Economy and domestic politics on the agenda for the trip to Ohio and Kentucky
WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - President Donald Trump set to hit the road Wednesday as he travels to Ohio and Kentucky. Our White House Correspondent Jon Decker has the story.
Since the beginning of Operation Epic Fury, most of President Donald Trump’s attention has been on Iran. However, on Wednesday, the President’s focus will be on the U.S. economy and energizing his base ahead of the Midterms in November.
In his first visit to the greater Cincinnati region during his second term, President Trump will make a stop in Hebron, Kentucky where he’ll speak at the Verst Logistics Contract Packaging Facility.
The White House says the President will “lay out the work he’s doing to make America affordable again and the plan Republicans have to keep our country moving forward.”
The President will also speak at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Reading, Ohio to promote TrumpRx, a new Administration website that allows people to buy certain prescription drugs directly from manufacturers.
Gray Media’s White House correspondent Jon Decker asked White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt about the visit.

“Just regarding the president’s trip tomorrow. Looking ahead, why, Ohio and why Northern Kentucky?”
Karoline Leavitt, White House Press Secretary:
“Why not? These are two great states with great Americans just wanting to know why they’re great states with great Americans. The president will be joined by lawmakers from both states, who he greatly admires and respects and supports. And he’ll be meeting with business owners in both of these places and talking about the economy, which is, of course, the utmost importance to him.”
Politics will also be on the agenda as the President will be visiting the District represented by Republican Congressman Thomas Massie. Massie has been a thorn in the President’s side for leading the effort to release the Epstein files. The President has already endorsed former Navy Seal Ed Gallrein, who is challenging Massie in this Republican Primary on May 19.
