2 horses rescued after falling into icy pond

CUBA, Mo. (KMOV/Gray News) - Two horses were rescued after falling into an icy pond on Monday morning.

According to the Cuba Fire Protection District, they assisted in the efforts to rescue the horses.

A path was made for the horses to walk out of the water.

The horses were assessed by local veterinarian KC Swope, who found they were in good shape.

They were taken to a dry barn and are doing well, according to the Cuba Fire Protection District.
