Wednesday’s Child: Marcell on the Move
(WNDU) - A stable home could make all the difference for a kid in foster care.
Grant Me Hope sent us the story of Marcell, a curious and creative boy who is in search of new parents.
Playtime is important to this 7-year-old.
“I mostly like playing on my tablet,” Marcell said. “Mostly playing with my stuffies a lot.”
Pets are a must for Marcell. He is a fan of dogs and cats.
“Also, I like little hamsters. I like hamsters because they’re really, they’re really cute and funny,” Marcell said. “Because they run around on the little hamster wheel and I keep thinking it’s a little Ferris wheel.”
Marcell wants to be a builder someday so that he can help others.
“I want to be a builder because if there’s like a homeless person, probably gather some wood from trees and then I could probably make them a little house. And then they’re probably, and they, they can make money so they can, so they can buy like, like some real roofing,” Marcell said.
Marcell is a huge help around the house. He’s even willing to help make meals or bake cookies.
“I know how to bake cookies and sometimes I try to surprise people for their birthdays with some cookies,” Marcell said.
Marcell has a 9-year-old sister named Kailani who is also available for adoption. They would like to be placed together. If you would like to learn more about them, click these links for Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange and Grant Me Hope.
