Wednesday’s Child: Caring Kaylee
(WNDU) - Foster teenagers in need of adoption are hoping to connect with a new family before time runs out. Many of them will be graduating soon and need help looking for a job or applying to schools.
Grant Me Hope sent us the story of 17-year-old Kaylee. She is a sophomore who likes school — especially art class and science.
“What I do these days is I do drawing usually, I color, I paint. But I usually like, draw cats, dogs,” Kaylee says. “My favorite subject is science.”
Those science classes will come in handy when Kaylee graduates and takes classes in animal science.
“What I want to be when I grow up is a vet. I want to be a vet because I love animals. And I grew up with animals. I grew up taking care of, like, dogs, cats, horses, chickens, cows,” Kaylee says.
Kaylee is hoping to find a faith-filled family.
“A family I’m looking for right now is like a family that is Christian,” Kaylee says.
“It’s important to adopt teens because teens need someone to love them and someone to care for them, and someone to like now so they can know that someone loves them and cares for them,” Kaylee adds.
