(WNDU) - Siblings have a special bond. And when foster kids are placed in homes, it’s important to try to let them stay together. That’s the hope with today’s Wednesday’s Child story of a brother/sister team in Indiana.

Adrian and Ashton are 17-year-old twins with special needs.

They want to be adopted together. Adrian says it would help since she knows everything about her brother.

“Ashton, he likes to (watch) SpongeBob SquarePants,” Adrian said.

Ashton absolutely loves to watch the kid cartoon. As for Adrian?

“My Disney Princess, Frozen, Warnock, My Little Pony, Sailor Moon, Daisy Zipper, and Barbies,” Adrian said. “My Little Pony is my favorite.”

Spiderman is Ashton’s favorite action figure.

Adrian told me they both like certain foods.

“Ashton, he likes vegetables. And Adrian (likes) broccoli,” Adrian said.

Play time is important for both of them. Ashton is a fan of soccer.

Adrian likes to read books and play games.

“Play dolls. Tablet,” Adrian said. “I like to play video game and a Nintendo Switch for me.”

“Ashton, he likes a Super Mario video game,” Adrian added.

They both try really hard at school. Adrian enjoys spelling. She likes to spell the word rainbow.

“Rainbow. R-a-i-n-b-o-w. Rainbow,” Adrian said.

Purple is Adrian’s favorite color, and both kids would like a family that has a dog.
