Construction on “Franklin at 11th Street” luxury apartments in Michigan City to be completed
The 12-story tower is right above the South Shore Line in downtown Michigan City.
MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (WNDU) - Construction is wrapping up on a new 12 story luxury apartment tower right above the South Shore Line in downtown Michigan City.
According to our reporting partners at the South Bend Tribune, the “Franklin at 11th Street” is expected to be done by July 1st with tenants starting to move in late August.
Most of the 220 units are already reserved with rent starting around $1,500 a month.
The building includes retail space, a parking garage, amenities like a heated swim spa, rooftop lounge, and dog park.
City leaders said the 300 new residents and faster train trips to Chicago are driving new life and new investment in the area.
