GRANGER, Ind. (WNDU) - LOGAN hosted a garden party in Granger on Friday night, but this was more than just a party.

This was an event that brought the community together to raise funds for the Sonya Ansari Center for Autism.

The Ansari Center is named for the daughter of doctors Rafat and Zoreen Ansari.

“We started this garden party almost about 20 years ago. It was attended by very few people when we started. And now today, there is going to be somewhere close to 550 people. They had to close the attendance to this party because they could not handle it,” said Dr. Rafat Ansari, founder of the Sonya Ansari Center for Autism.

WNDU’s Joshua Short served as the event’s emcee.
