Report: Jac Collinsworth out as ND football’s play-by-play voice

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Jac Collinsworth is out as the play-by-play voice of Notre Dame football on NBC, according to a report from The Athletic.

NBC veteran Dan Hicks will reportedly team up with returning analyst Jason Garrett this fall.

Hicks previously called Notre Dame games a decade ago from 2013-16 before giving way to Mike Tirico, according to our reporting partners at the South Bend Tribune. He is best known for his PGA Tour duties.

Collinsworth, the son of longtime NBC football analyst Cris Collinsworth, had a two-season run as lead play-by-play announcer for the Fighting Irish.
