Treasurer in La Porte County gets arrested for theft

In La Porte County, the former clerk treasurer for Kingsford Heights was arrested on two counts of theft and one count of official misconduct.
An investigation by state police showed that while Patricia Arnett was paid hourly, she wasn't working the hours she claimed.
She took office in January of 2016 and resigned at some point this past April.
