A Bremen truck driver was killed Monday in a three-vehicle crash on the Indiana Toll Road.

The accident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. near the 112 mile marker.

According to an Indiana State Police report, the crash involved three eastbound semi-tractor trailers.

Police believe a semi driven by Austin Edward Larson, a 21-year-old from Flint, was stopped on the outer shoulder as the driver worked on a problem with the truck.

That semi was struck by an eastbound semi tractor-tanker driven by 53-year-old Daniel Zeiger of Bremen.

Zeiger's semi collided with another eastbound semi tractor-trailer that was being driven by Winston Sample Jr., a 34-year-old from New Orleans.

Zeiger was transporting gasoline at the time, and his vehicle caught fire after the collision.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sample was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries and was released. Larson was not injured.

Eastbound and westbound lanes of the roll road were blocked for hours as crews cleared the accident scene and investigated.
