UPDATE: Former Mishawaka PTA president sentenced to probation

A former Mishawaka PTA president who was convicted of fondling a girl at his home has been sentenced to probation.
Last month, a jury found David Willamowski guilty on one count of child molesting.
Willamowski was president of the PTA at Battell Elementary School for the 2015-2016 school year.
He was accused of molesting an 11-year-old girl while several children were watching a movie at his home in May 2016.
Willamowski told police his hand may have "grazed" the girl at some points, but he didn't mean anything by the touching.
His first trial in the case ended with the deadlocked jury last June.
Willamowski faced two to 12 years in prison, but he received a six-year suspended sentence of sex offender probation. He is not allowed to contact the child victim.
