For the second week in a row, the number of positive coronavirus cases has gone up in the Hoosier State, causing Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb to declare Indiana will remain at stage 4.5 in the reopening process for at least the next two weeks.

There is a small risk for severe weather later this evening. Things dry out later Thursday and Friday, and then the humidity and the heat comes roaring back for the weekend and early next week. A new jump in Indiana’s hospitalizations for coronavirus illnesses has been reported by state health officials ahead of an expected announcement by the governor on whether some business and crowd size restrictions will remain in place.
Stacy Reeves took the footage of cars dangerously driving across the tracks while tending her son's memorial nearby. He died after being struck by a train while crossing the tracks when the gates were down. Reeves is now working to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else again.
HOT/HUMID WEEKEND! The weekend continues to look like it will be hot and humid again with heat index values each afternoon up around 100 degrees. In the mean time, though, we have a cool front coming through, which will bring us a good chance to get rain and a thunderstorm Wednesday night, and then a bit less heat and humidity on Thursday. After a sunny day on Friday, the summer-like weather comes roaring back by the weekend. Along with the heat and humidity, there will be a chance each day for a pop-up shower or storm in the afternoon or evening. The heat should back off again for the middle of next week...
