Woman assaulted during Elkhart County home invasion

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department is asking for help identifying two men responsible for a daytime home invasion.

It happened Friday at 10:23 a.m. on the 23000 block of County Road 6.

A 42-year-old woman was in her home when two masked men entered through an unlocked door. They assaulted the woman and stole money and prescription medicine.

The suspects then exited the home and ran away on foot.

The woman didn't require medical treatment.

One of the suspects is described as an Hispanic male with black hair in a ponytail. He was wearing gloves, a blue bandanna, and a black jacket with the word "Nexus" or Nextel" on the back.

The second suspect was a white man about 6'2" tall. He was wearing a face mask with a skull, a black jacket, jeans, and black combat-style boots.
