A South Bend woman, accused of killing her 11-month-old son, now has an attorney and a trial date.

Nyesha Crockett allegedly threw her son Micahyah on the ground and then kicked and struck him.

According to court documents, Crockett was angry because the boy's father had gone out with friends.

Detectives also discovered Crockett's little girl suffered similar injuries in February. 23-month-old Alaiyah remains in a vegetative state.

Crockett came to court Tuesday wearing an orange jail jumpsuit as she made her initial appearance. She'll be represented by a public defender.

Her trial date has been set for February 2.
