Visitation for the late former Notre Dame President Father Theodore Hesburgh continues through 10 a.m. Wednesday morning. It began Tuesday at noon, with the first session ending at 6pm. A wake, presided over by Father Edward "Monk" Molloy took place at 7:30 Tuesday evening.
A Holy Cross funeral mass, by invitation only, will be held in the Basilica on Wednesday at 2 p.m. The public is invited to participate in the procession to the cemetery following the funeral. There will also be a Memorial Tribute in Purcell Pavilion Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m with speakers including former President of the United States Jimmy Carter, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former Irish Football Coach Lou Holtz.
The funeral mass, procession to the cemetery and Memorial Tribute will air live on WNDU-TV and be streamed online here at wndu.com. Coverage begins at 1:45 p.m.
----Because of coverage of the funeral mass, Days of our Lives will air at 11:00 a.m. instead of 2:00 p.m.
----Because of the live broadcast of the Memorial Tribute, The Voice will not air at 8:00 p.m. It will air at 2:00 a.m. on Thursday morning (late Wednesday night).
