Traffic was stopped on the Indiana Toll Road Friday morning, but -- unlike other days this winter -- it wasn't because of the road conditions.
A semi's rear brakes caught fire at around 8 a.m.
It happened in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 74, where traffic was backed up for a few miles.
The Clay and South Bend Fire Departments responded to put out the flames.
No one was injured, including the driver, who was able to get out safely.
