One person has been sent to the hospital after a semi-truck and car collide igniting into flames.
It happened around 3:40 Tuesday afternoon at State Road 421 in San Pierre, that's in South West Starke County.
Police say, the driver of the car was heading south on 421 turning onto Fisher when a semi was heading north on 421. That's when both vehicles collided, bursting into flames. It took about three hours for fire crews to put the fire out because the semi was carrying mattresses.
The driver of the car was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the semi driver refused treatment.
Officers say the driver of the car is to blame as it crossed the center line.
