SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A single soccer ball has been making quite a journey around the world.

Today it stopped in South Bend, to teach kids about character development through the sport.

The event brought together the One Ball One World Project and Play Like a Champion Today.

Notre Dame athletes were on hand to help teach principles of fair play, then the ball was signed by the students at St. Adalbert School.

Their names joined thousands of others around the world who have learned lessons about good sportsmanship.

The ball started out on Jan. 9 in London, where the football association organized their first game.
