Michigan firefighters battle vacant home fire near Buchanan

Bertrand Township firefighters, along with several surrounding departments responded to a vacant house fire on Saturday afternoon.

The fire was reported around 4:20 p.m. Saturday at a home at 3710 Chamberlain Road.

Bertrand Township fire chief Bill Knisely says when fire crews arrived, they could see flames and smoke coming from the windows and roof of the home.

No one was in the home at the time and no one was injured.

Knisely says the cause of the fire is unknown.
