SOUTH BEND For over 90 years, students across the nation have participated in the Scholastic Art Show. It's an opportunity to showcase talent, in a variety of mediums, from sketching and painting to photography and video.
Michiana students in grades 7-12 have taken part for over 20 years. This year, over 300 art projects are on display. While it's an honor to have a piece selected for the local show, some students will take their talent on to the next level, competing for a national honor in New York City in late March.
The public can view student work February 1-March 1 at the South Bend Museum of Art during business hours.
