Elkhart, Ind. A man who forced his way into an apartment and demanded money has been handed a 16 year sentence, with five years suspended.

According to our reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth, 24-year-old Marquise Curry pleaded guilty to one charge of armed robbery on Thursday.

Curry and 22-year-old Devon Davis, were arrested back in April after the incident at 20 East Apartments in Elkhart.

The men had a gun and reportedly threatened to kill the victims if they didn't give them money.

They got away with $100 and a short time later, were pulled over and arrested on outstanding warrants.

Davis already pleaded guilty to armed robbery back in August and was sentenced to 15 years.
