Man arrested for Howard Township home invasion

Howard Township, Ind.-- A Dowagiac man has been arrested after a home invasion in Cass County.

Around 4 a.m. Sunday, police were called to a house in Howard Township.

A woman said a man, who was an acquaintance of hers, had climbed in through her bathroom window and woke up with him standing in her room.

She kicked the man and he then fled.

Police say on his way out, he stole some personal hygiene products.

Officers were able to find the 32-year-old man sleeping in his vehicle nearby along with the items he stole.

His name has not been released.

The incident remains under investigation.
