Ice skating lessons start Wednesday

South Bend, Ind. If you are looking for a way to beat the heat on days like Monday, how about hitting the ice? Ice skating lessons start at the Compton Family Ice Arena on Notre Dame’s campus this week.

The eight weeks of lessons officially start on Wednesday and you have until that day to sign up. Classes are every Wednesday between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Start times vary depending on how old you are and your skill level.

Classes cost $80 per person, plus there is a $12 USFS fee which is an insurance piece.

If you are looking to stay cool but don’t want to pay $80, there is a cheaper option. You can skate during public skate. Public skate runs Monday through Sunday.

It costs $5 to skate Monday through Friday and $5 for kids and $7 for adults Friday through Sunday.

For more information on times, head to Notre Dame’s website.
