The organization that aims to make women going through cancer feel a little more beautiful held a luncheon this afternoon.
It's a 700-women, 3-course luncheon with fun entertainment at Century Center in South Bend.
Funds raised provide complimentary, professional makeovers and cosmetic tips to women battling cancer in our community and beyond.
Hello Gorgeous has over 30 affiliate salons coast-to-coast.
Each one surprises nominated women with the perfect makeover pick-me-up.
Which, for some, can be a game-changing moment during a difficult time.
Kim Becker, Founder of Hello Gorgeous, says, “It's amazing, it has to be a surprise because if you were to tell them they're going for a pedicure and a manicure they would say they're not deserving of it, that they won't go. So it has to be a surprise, and that's the reaction, I don't deserve this, I don't deserve this.”
This marks the eighth year for the Hello Gorgeous comedy luncheon.
Each year women whose lives have been touched by the organization share their stories of inspiration and hope.
