Goshen, Ind. A Goshen man who was hit by an SUV while riding his bike last week has died from his injuries, according to our reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth.

Last Friday evening, Dale Ewers, 38, was heading east on a bike path just two miles outside the Goshen city limits.

Police say Ewers started to cross CR 127, north of CR 128, when he pulled into the path of an SUV.

The driver of that vehicle, a 68-year-old man from Louisville, Kentucky, couldn't stop in time and crashed into the bicycle.

Ewers suffered head injuries and a fractured leg and died yesterday afternoon in the hospital.

No citations were issued at the scene but the crash remains under investigation.
