Felony charges filed in shoddy car repair job

WARSAW A man accused of endangering a woman's children with a shoddy car repair job is under arrest on felony theft charges.

31-year-old David Roper offered to fix a neighbor's car, if she bought the parts. According to the Stacey Page Online Roper admitted to investigators that he returned the parts she bought and kept the cash.

Roper is accused of duct-taping a soup can in place of one of the parts, and spray painting the old parts to appear new.

The woman's children suffered carbon monoxide poisoning because of the botched work.

Roper is being held on $1,500 dollars bond.
