NAPPANEE, Ind. Police received a call Thursday afternoon of an accident on US 6 involving a buggy and two trucks.
The call came in around 3:50 pm and police soon arrived on US 6 between CR 9 and CR 11, about three miles east of Nappanee, to find that the crash involved a buggy, a dump truck and a semi.
The dump truck reportedly slowed down to pass the buggy and the semi behind him did not slow down.
The semi rear ended the truck, causing the truck to hit the buggy.
One man was in the buggy and hit his face on the front of the buggy.
Although the man’s injuries were not life-threatening, he was taken to the hospital for facial reconstruction surgery.
The semi driver was cited for driving too closely behind another vehicle.
More information will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
