Kosciusko County, Ind. -- An Amish family walked away with only minor injuries after their buggy was rear-ended by a pick-up truck Wednesday morning.

It happened just after 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of C.R. 1350 N and C.R. 300 W in Kosciusko County.

Twenty-five year old Jeffrey Lanning of Bremen said he was westbound on C.R. 1350 N, near the intersection, and was distracted. When he saw the buggy, it was too late to slow down, and he hit it.

Twenty-nine year old Diane Borkholder of New Paris and her kids, a newborn and a 2 and 4 year old, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The horse suffered minor injuries.
