Police investigating attempted abduction in Kosciusko County

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating a possible attempted kidnapping that occurred in the North West portion of the county Monday evening.

Kosciusko County Deputy Sheriff Jeff Howie responded to the Millwood Trailer Court Monday evening after a 14 year old female reportedly had been grabbed by an unknown male subject. The juvenile female stated that she had been walking in the trailer park earlier and the male suspect had made contact with her. She stated that she returned home to her trailer and that she went to the door and the same suspect was there asking questions. The juvenile stated that the male grabbed her arm and attempted to gain entry but eventually fled the scene via his pickup truck.

The suspect is described as a white male, late 40’s or early 50’s, about 6-feet tall, and is approximately 150-160 lbs. He reportedly had short hair, a gray button up shirt with black vertical stripes, dark blue jeans, white and black tennis shoes, and a black belt with a silver colored “skull” buckle.

The victim as well as a neighbor described the vehicle as a newer style Ford F150 pickup truck, light blue in color, with an Indiana “In God We Trust” plate attached. Witnesses also say the inside of the bed of the pickup truck was a black flex pipe.
