Position Code: #18-13
We have a once-in-a-career opportunity. After 40 years at WNDU the NBC affiliate in South Bend, our iconic lead anchor has decided to retire. The person who fills her lead anchor/reporter role will be that unique journalist who is charismatic, warm, professional, and a first-rate storyteller. Your task will be to make Michiana (the nickname for our region) love you. We are looking for someone who wants to entrench in our community for the long run. This is not a stepping stone position. In addition to anchoring our evening shows, you will work on sweeps pieces, help the producers when needed, emcee various events in our community as well as station initiatives. You will also mentor our new journalists. We are seeking a self-motivated team member who is driven to win each day. You would be joining a cohesive newsroom that is energetic and thrives on breaking news, severe weather coverage and making Michiana a better place to live through high quality journalism, on a daily basis. Fair warning, you will have big shoes to fill. If this sounds like an exciting challenge, then we look forward to hearing from you.
