South Bend Cubs want to see your National Anthem audition

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) Do you have what it takes to sing the National Anthem at a South Bend Cubs game?

If so, the team wants you to audition!

They're accepting video auditions through Monday, Feb. 25. You can find much more information below.

The South Bend Cubs are inviting talented singers and groups to submit video audition demos for a chance to perform the National Anthem at a 2019 home game at Four Winds Field.

"We are encouraged to see community interest as our National Anthem auditions continue to grow," South Bend Cubs Director of Media and Promotions Chris Hagstrom-Jones said. "Since the South Bend Cubs moved into Four Winds Field, we have received an increasing number of National Anthem applications. In the past, people have traveled across the Midwest to audition but having streamlined the application process last year we have been able to review more applicants than ever before."

The deadline to submit video auditions is Monday, February 25, 2019. Applicants are encouraged to send their audition via email or DVD by dropping off at Four Winds Field. After a diligent judging period, some applicants may be asked to perform live for a panel of judges in a closed audition. The final decisions will be made in March.

Audition Requirements:
All auditions must be submitted as a video. Audio files, tapes or CDs will not be accepted. Videos will be accepted as a downloadable file, video link such as YouTube or Google Drive, or DVD. Videos can also be recorded on a mobile device. The Audition form must accompany your submission. Performances of the National Anthem are not to exceed two minutes. Those who audition in groups must include all members in the audition video.
