SB Cubs eat breakfast with fans ahead of season opener

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The South Bend Cubs held a team breakfast Tuesday morning as part of their many events this week before their home opener on Thursday.

The team had breakfast with some fans at Peggs Restaurant off South Michigan Street in South Bend, one day after the team came back from spring training in Arizona.

By the way, the Cubs are not the only team Peggs hosts for breakfast. They offer a special discount for the opposing teams as well.

"They are walking by here, we feed them, we offer them a discount if they lose," owner Peg Dalton said. "It's something that gets a big laugh, and as long as they keep laughing, we'll keep offering that discount."

The Cubs' first game is on Thursday against the West Michigan Whitecaps at 7:05 p.m. For ticket information, click here.
