Riley ready for showdown with Jimtown

SOUTH BEND (WNDU) - Newscenter 16's Spotlight game of the week is Riley Wildcats playing host to the Jimtown Jimmies.

Riley head football coach Jarvis Edison says the Wildcats have had their fair share of ups and downs this season but says the team is improving on working hard and being more consistent.

He says the Wildcats mindset going into their matchup against the Jimmies is to be ready to play all four quarters because he knows Jimtown is going to bring it.

"They are a tough, well-coached and disciplined team," Edison said. "Those kinds of teams you've got to be very prepared for them because they are going to be prepared to compete against you."

They're not going to give any plays up," Riley senior linebacker Andrew Walkowski. "They are going to do the same things they always do. They are going to make you stop them and that's what our plan is, we are going to stop them. We're going to make them get uncomfortable and that's what we are going to succeed at."

"Jimtown is another tough team," Riley senior wide receiver Jalen Jennings said. "We had troubles against Bremen and they are similar to Bremen so if we can stop the run and force them to pass the ball I think we will be athletic enough to stop them."
