Pride Jr. ready to face hometown Clemson Tigers in College Football Playoff

ARLINGTON, Texas (WNDU) - Tomorrow will also be a big game for Irish corner back Troy Pride Jr.

Not just because the stakes are high for Notre Dame but for personal reasons.

Pride attended Greer Senior High School in South Carolina, which is about an hour away from Clemson’s campus.

Pride says he’s excited to take on the team from his own backyard.

"[It's an] amazing, blessing opportunity," Pride said. "I never would have thought [this would happen] but God works in mysterious ways and we’re here now and I can’t wait to play them really. It’s awesome. Being in this venue, being at Dallas Cowboys stadium. It’s amazing to come full circle and play a team like that from my area."

Pride will have six family members in attendance at AT&T stadium tomorrow including his little sister Destiny Campbell, who is a huge Clemson Tigers fan. But on Saturday her allegiances will lie with her brother and Notre Dame.
